Hi,
I have started using Doc To Go v 7.006 recently and my files ( Native Excel, powerpoint etc ) are kept in the SD card.
However the Search For Files takes forever and I wonder if I have done anything wrong.
This program cannot serve my purpose if it cannot find the files instantly.
The files are not placed in the launcher of the SD card but in separate Documents folder.
Anyone know a way out of this ?

the search takes forever if u have tons of documents on the SD card, and it is slower than if you stored them in the PDA's main memory, there is some programs to use to see the innerds of the PDA its self, and of of those programs is "Filez"..go to palmgear.com and search for filez.

I tested by moving one Excel native file to the palm's main memory but this did not work as well - size of file 278k.
The animated search icon keeps running and no files are located...

please be patient and wait until leter in the day when someone who might know a little more about ur problem comes on..as i don't use DTG and the find button o.o i don't really stores files that need searching as i just got my pda set up the way i want it....so ur going to have to wait...until then u can try to do a soft reset, warm reset or hard reset..
if u need more info on how to do these please refer to your user manual..
only thing that I could think that might be the problem now is that u might have another application interfering with DTG to work right or a system hack...u can try before a hard reset by disabling hacks one by one and if that does not solve the problem you can delete applications one by one to see if after u delete a certain application it works fine, but if u do do this recommendation please remember to backup ur pda, and to remane the folder in C:\programfiles\palmone(or palm depending on which device ur using)\"your username"\backup rename backup to soemthing else no need to recreate another folder as palm desktop will do this for you automatically....

YOU can wait for more suggestion to come in by people who have been here longer than I have and can solve more problems....(i suggest this one)...be patient.....and by the way WELCOME to BRIGHTHAND...
