The so call yellow man icon is the "new ID" icon. It is situated next to a User ID to tell you that the user has been a registered eBay user for 30 days or less. During this 30-day window the user will not be able to modify their User ID or email address. The new ID icon will disappear after the user has maintained the same User ID for a 30-day period.

It is also telling you to be " very carefull " that this member with the " yellow-man " next to his/her ID is someone new, which have not been tested with time yet !They can be a very good eBayer, or they are just another " Mr. Hit $#38; Run " !
